Affirm Laser Skin Resurfacing & Rejuvenation
We are proud to offer the very latest in state-of-the-art laser technology for skin rejuvenation, the Affirm laser system from Cynosure. The Affirm provides treatments for wrinkle reduction, acne and other scars, pigmented lesions, skin laxity and other age-related conditions. This laser system effectively ”turns back the hands of time”, uncovering a more youthful and healthy appearance to the skin.

The Affirm laser is the first microthermal-rejuvenation system that has the ability to stimulate collagen production through precise thermal manipulation of the treated area. By heating up the deeper layers of the skin, it causes the body to produce its own collagen. Clinical studies have proven that the Affirm laser is less painful, takes less time, is less costly, and can be safer than the popular Fraxel® treatment for the removal of wrinkles and scars.

Botox
Botox® is a purified protein that blocks the transmission of certain chemicals across  nerve endings, thus blocking the messages sent from nerves to muscles. This substance has been used to safely decrease the appearance of facial wrinkles for over 20 years. It is available in injectable form and is most commonly used to treat frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines. At Paradise Medspa & Wellness, you will always have a highly skilled physician doing your Botox® injections.
One Botox® treatment can last up to 4 months and repeated injections are required to maintain the effect of the medication. At our office, Botox® is sold as a set price per treatment area. We feel that it is important for us to disclose the price of treatments in advance, not requiring additional charges for additional units. Furthermore, we would prefer to treat our patients with the amount of Botox® that offers the best results, averaging 25-30 units depending upon the strength and size of the muscle area being treated. We offer a touch-up session, free of charge, at 1-2 weeks after the initial treatment to ensure that you achieve the results you desire.

Most people start to see an effect after two to seven days from time of injection. You will start to notice a more relaxed and refreshed appearance to your skin. At Paradise, we want our patients to maintain a natural appearance, not a “frozen” look. Less can sometimes mean more when it comes to treatment with Botox®!

Chemical Peels and Micropeels
We are excited to offer medical-grade chemical peels by SkinMedica and PCA. Light to medium depth chemical peels offer a great way to rejuvenate your skin with little to no downtime. Peels are designed to address a multitude of skin conditions including acne, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, dehydration and skin texture. The peels we offer are safe on almost all skin types. We love to use light peels alone to restore skin’s glow and radiance. Slightly stronger peels may be used to treat acne scarring or more severe sun damage while still minimizing downtime due to skin irritation and redness. Chemical peels are often relaxing and enjoyable. For the best results, we recommend multiple treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
"Micropeels", or chemical peels used in conjunction with our Silkpeel™ Dermalinfusion™ system, offer even more impressive results for skin rejuvenation and retexturing. This combination of treatments allows for more noticeable results with fewer necessary treatments. A micropeel takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and with minimal risk any significant skin irritation, makes for an easy lunch-break procedure! For optimal results, we recommend a series of treatments spaced 4 weeks apart.

Dermal Fillers
As we age, many of us will find that we are losing that soft, supple shape to our facial features. This occurs due to loss of collagen and fat under our skin which leads to wrinkles and folds. You can soften the appearance of these areas with the use of dermal fillers such as Juvederm™ Ultra, Juvederm™ Ultra Plus and Radiesse®. These substances are made up of hyaluronic acid, a non-animal based substance that occurs naturally in the human body and can provide volume and fullness to facial wrinkles and folds by binding with the water in your skin. Dermal fillers can also be used to enhance and add to the fullness of your lips, fill scars such as those due to acne, and when used in the deeper skin layers, can even restructure certain aspects of the facial anatomy.

Dermal fillers are injected with a tiny needle directly into the wrinkle or fold. Over time, they will be naturally reabsorbed, but we have seen results lasting 6 to 9 months. When injecting into certain facial areas, we may recommend local anesthesia into the surrounding nerves to make the procedure more comfortable for our patients. Fortunately, there is little to no down time with this procedure and the results are immediate.  As always, all of your injections will be done by one of our highly skilled and knowledgeable physicians.

Omnilux Photodynamic (LED) Therapy
Paradise Medspa & Wellness is now offering an exciting, new, way to effectively treat acne lesions and rejuvenate the skin. LED, or Light Emitting Diode, technology with the Omnilux™ Medical device utilizes a combination of pure, visible red and blue lights in addition to invisible infra-red light directed on to the skin to treat a variety of skin conditions. LED therapy is safe and completely pain free. 20 minute treatments are offered in packages of 6 to 8.
Treatments with a combination of red and blue light have been clinically proven to reduce acne lesions by up to 81%. Omnilux™ combination treatments for acne effectively neutralize the key bacteria, P. acnes, which are responsible for the redness and inflammation associated with acne. Combined with red light, which has anti-inflammatory properties, you will notice a marked improvement in pore size and oil production resulting in healthier, less irritated skin. For patients with more severe cases of acne, application of a prescription medication called Levulan is recommended.

Omnilux™ anti-aging treatments utilize both red and infra-red light to stimulate your body’s natural processes to heal and rejuvenate the skin. As we grow older, the cells that manufacture the skin’s support structures begin to slow down. Environmental damage from the sun speeds up this process and produces free radicals that damage the skin and the cells that produce collagen and elastin. Treatments with the Omnilux™ will stimulate these cells, resulting in a softer appearance in fine lines and an improvement in skin tone. In addition, in clinical trials utilizing Omnilux™ combination Light Therapy with red and infra-red lights, 80% of patients reported improvement in the appearance of fine lines and 75% reported improvement in skin texture.

Silkpeel Dermalinfusion Microdermabrasion
Paradise Medspa & Wellness is proud to offer the very latest in microdermabrasion treatments with the SilkPeel™ Dermalinfusion™ system. This highly advanced technology gives us the ability to simultaneously exfoliate the skin while infusing skin-specific dermaceuticals targeted at treating your unique skin care needs. Unlike traditional “dry” microdermabrasion treatments, this soothing treatment results in immediate skin improvement and hydration. SilkPeel™ treatments effectively treat all skin conditions including hyperpigmentation, acne, photodamage, dehydration, and fine lines. These treatments provide excellent results on their own, but are also recommended for use in combination with other procedures, such as chemical peels and laser skin rejuvenation , for faster results and added benefits for our patients.
Treatment with the Silkpeel™ is relaxing and enjoyable. There are no crystal particles used with this treatment, so you won’t get that “sand blasted” feeling as with traditional microdermabrasion treatments. Because the Silkpeel™ combines the cool, moisturizing effect of a topical solution while at the same time providing excellent exfoliation, your skin will feel healthy, smooth and immediately renewed. There is no downtime and this 30 minute procedure makes a wonderful treatment to have done on your lunch break! Although you will notice an improvement in your skin after the very first treatment, optimal results are usually achieved after 4-6 treatments every 1-2 weeks.
